The Nashville Predators (3-2-3) look to capitalize on the momentum from their recent home win in hopes of taking down the Boston Bruins (7-2-1) on the road. In three road games this season, the Predators have notched one win and two overtime losses, including a shootout loss to the Senators.

Through the early stage of the season, the Bruins have presented themselves as one of the top contenders in the league. Meanwhile, the Predators have faced consistent struggles regarding team identity. With new players all over the ice, it has been an adjustment period for the team to find its rhythm.

Much of the Predators' matchups have fallen to goaltender Juuse Saros to keep the team in the game. A lackluster blue line effort and inconsistent offensive attack leave much to be desired. With four days of rest and a shorter schedule entering a two-game road stint, the Predators have the time to prepare for the Bruins, who have already played two more games than Nashville.

Despite the struggles from Nashville to start the season, it is an improvement over recent years. The nine points in the first eight games are the most the Predators have produced through this stretch this decade. Many of those points are coming from the standalone points from overtime losses. While those matchups have been beneficial in keeping the team out of the depths of the standings, it highlights Nashville's mismanagement of close games.

After stealing at least one point in each road game this year, it provides an interesting matchup with the Predators visiting Boston, which is among the toughest home environments in the league.
