Max Verstappen will start the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from pole position.

Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri will join the Red Bull driver at the front of the grid tomorrow as they start from second and third positions, respectively.

Track limits fairly quickly became an issue with Logan Sargeant, Zhou Guanyu, and Nico Hulkenberg all having their lap times deleted with just under eight minutes to go. With 3 minutes to go, Sargeant put his Williams fourth fastest only for the lap time to be deleted yet again.

Out in Q1

  1. Carlos Sainz
  2. Kevin Magnussen
  3. Valtteri Bottas
  4. Zhou Guanyu
  5. Logan Sargeant

All drivers apart from Max Verstappen went out in Q2 on used tyres, so it was not surprising that the Dutchman was able to get his Red Bull to P1 fairly easily.

Last-minute lap time deletions for Sergio Perez and Pierre Gasly see them starting the race from ninth and tenth position, respectively.
