Aston Martin Chief's Dream Of World Title Is Coming True Despite Naysayers

Lawrence Stroll, the owner of Aston Martin, had every reason to feel overjoyed after his team's impressive performance in the last race weekend. The businessman, who is the father of Lance Stroll, witnessed his team's success as they secured a podium finish in Bahrain. In an interview with Sky Sports, Lawrence Stroll shared his excitement and shed light on his future plans for the team.

Aston Martin's recent triumph came after an intense battle on the track with experienced drivers like Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz. Despite the tough competition, Fernando Alonso managed to secure third place, marking the second podium finish for the Aston Martin team. The first was achieved by Sebastian Vettel at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix. However, for Lawrence Stroll, this is just the beginning, and he has his sights set on even greater success.

Looking ahead, Lawrence Stroll revealed his ambitious plans for the future of Aston Martin, expressing his confidence in the team's ability to get there eventually. The businessman believes that the team has all the necessary resources and expertise to achieve their goals, and they are fully committed to making it happen.

He explained:

"The harder I work the luckier I get.

"I said a couple of years back, we are on a five year journey to be fighting for World Championships. I met a lot of doubters when I said that and I can understand that given our position when I said that.

"I've made, we've made significant changes. We have the greatest state of the art facility that we don't move into until May 1st, so the success of this year can't be contributed to this.

"We have a vision. We are going to win. We are following what I said two years ago. This is the first step [Alonso's podium] we've taken in the journey. I couldn't be more proud.

"I'd like to thank my son who I am a very proud father of. We were in surgery and Lance told me we are going to Bahrain."
