Austin GP Results: Charles Leclerc Takes Pole Position At Iconic Circuit Of The Americas

Charles Leclerc has taken pole position for the Austin Grand Prix on Sunday.
Another Sprint Race weekend is upon us so the qualifying session has taken place today to determine the grid for the race on Sunday. Joining the Ferrari driver on the front row is Lando Norris who will be starting the race from second.

All of the drivers took to the track on soft tyres and with the high track temperatures of 42 degrees Celsius, track evolution was quick with a new driver constantly at the top of the time sheets.

- Logan Sargeant
Track limits proved to be difficult during Q2 with Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo both having lap times deleted, the latter of which was consequently eliminated.

George Russell was the next driver to struggle with track limits as he had his first Q3 lap time deleted.
Max Verstappen took the provisional pole only for his lap time to also be deleted putting him back in sixth position.
