Austrian GP Results: Max Verstappen Fastest In FP1 Ahead Of Qualifying Today

The Austrian Grand Prix weekend is hosting the second sprint race of the season. So, there is just one free practice session for the teams and drivers to prepare for qualifying which is later today and the sprint shootout and sprint race which will take place tomorrow.
Max Verstappen put in the fastest time during the session followed by Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc who put in the second and third fastest times, respectively.
McLaren has brought significant upgrades to Lando Norris' MCL60 this weekend so the free practice session was even more important for the Woking-based squad to get in enough laps to optimise these. Ferrari has also brought in upgrades for the weekend in Spielberg.
