The first day of the Canadian Grand Prix weekend has come to a close. 

The first free practice session was red flagged after just seven minutes and did not resume after technical issues with the CCTV on the track causing backlash from fans. 

However, the second free practice session was extended by half an hour so the drivers and teams had one and a half hours to get in their various different data runs.
