Charles Leclerc has shot down rumours of a move to Mercedes ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix this weekend.

The rumour mill has been working overtime lately, with Charles Leclerc's potential move to Mercedes making headlines in the world of Formula One. Reports suggest that the Monegasque driver is unhappy with the Ferrari team and is considering a switch.

Ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Leclerc dismissed these reports as nonsense, but that hasn't stopped speculation.

Speaking to the media, Leclerc denied having any talks with Mercedes, stating that he is fully focused on his current project with Ferrari. He revealed that he is confident in Ferrari's future, and for now, his mind is nowhere else but on the Prancing Horse.

"No, not yet. Not for the moment. For now, I am fully focused on the project I am in today, which is Ferrari and I fully trust and am confident for the future. Then we will see, but I am fully confident for the project of Ferrari."

Despite the rumours, Leclerc denies having any contact with Mercedes. He hasn't spoken to Toto Wolff, and he isn't even considering a move at this stage. When asked about a potential meeting with Wolff, Leclerc's response was clear:

"No. Zero. Zero. Really zero. You all smile because you don't believe me, but I promise."

During a recent press conference, Lewis Hamilton was asked about the rumors surrounding Leclerc's potential move to Mercedes. The seven-time world champion was quick to dismiss the speculation, stating that it had no bearing on his negotiations with his German employer.

The on-track action in Baku will get going tomorrow with free practice one in the morning followed by the qualifying session in the afternoon which will determine the grid line-up for Sunday.
