Charles Leclerc has taken pole position for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Sunday after a dramatic first day in Baku. 

Starting behind Leclerc on the front row is Max Verstappen followed by Sergio Perez starting in third position.

Nyck de Vries, Pierre Gasly, Kevin Magnussen, Nico Hulkenberg, and Zhou Guanyu were eliminated after Q1, after De Vries and Gasly both crashed at Turn 3 triggering two separate red flags. 

George Russell, Esteban Ocon, Alex Albon, Valtteri Bottas, and Logan Sargeant were all knocked out in Q2.
