F1 Fans Hit Back At Reporter For Berating Sergio Perez

A sports reporter for ESPN has come under fire for complaining to their Twitter followers about Red Bull driver Sergio Perez refusing to sign an autograph whilst in a restaurant.
Miguel Gonzalez took to the social media platform to talk about the situation, he wrote:
"Thanks to @SChecoPerez for ignoring and turning your back on my son when they were leaving the restaurant. Incredulous, I approached you to ask if you could take a picture with him and you denied it saying that you came with your family. This time the tears you provoked were not from emotion.
"The child waited for them to finish and leave so as not to be impertinent, what a pity it bothers you when a child asks you for a photo, although you have every right to deny it @SChecoPerez. By the way, the garbage on the table is collected. Education is also taught and learned as a family."
Fans were quick to speak their mind on the matter, defending the driver who is in their right to turn down a photo and autograph. One fan responded:
"He is not obligated to take pictures. Kmt"

Another fan commented highlighting that Perez probably just wanted some time along with his family. They wrote:
"Lmao this is complete bs. Checo just wanted family time and not to be disturbed w requests and from the looks of it, it’s like he politely declined so what’s the issue? This person is mad"

This comes after Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc had to call for fans to stop coming to his apartment in Monaco after his address was leaked online.
The next important F1 date is April 28-30 for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
