F1 News: British Grand Prix Weather Forecast Teases Rain-Soaked Qualifying

The upcoming 2023 British Grand Prix at Silverstone might be another rainy spectacle, continuing the trend of the last four Grand Prix weekends. Weather forecasts suggest we may be in for showers during the qualifying rounds and a notably cooler race day. Despite this, drivers are set to take full advantage of the additional practice sessions offered by this traditional format race weekend.
Friday - Free Practice One & Two
The Met Office anticipates Friday's weather to be substantially warmer than the rest of the weekend. The teams and drivers are expected to enjoy sunny skies during their practice sessions, with temperatures reaching a comfortable 25 degrees Celsius. This makes for an excellent start to the race weekend, offering drivers optimal conditions for their opening practice runs.
Saturday - Free Practice Three & Qualifying
The weather forecast takes a turn for Saturday. There's a 60% likelihood of rainfall towards the end of the qualifying rounds, making for potentially tricky driving conditions and hopefully an exciting session for fans.
Sunday - The Race
On race day, the chance of rain is lower, at only 10-20%, though it's predicted to be cloudy and cooler by 5-6 degrees compared to Friday's practice. Despite the potential rain and cooler temperatures, Sunday promises to deliver an exciting race. With the added challenge of potentially changing conditions, the British Grand Prix is sure to keep both drivers and fans on their toes.
In addition to the possible showers, expect high humidity levels as we transition from afternoon to evening over the weekend. This could add an extra layer of challenge for the drivers and teams as they navigate what promises to be an exciting British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
