F1 News: Esteban Ocon Warms Fans Hearts With Social Media Post - "Must Be Proud"

Alpine driver Esteban Ocon has shared a heart-warming moment he took his Mum to the Cannes Film Festival yesterday.
Taking to social media, the French driver shared a photo of him and his Mum taking the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival, along with some behind the scenes photos and videos of their preparations for the prestigious event. He wrote:
"Bucket list: Cannes Festival with mum"
Fans were quick to share their messages in the comments, one fan responded joking about his eye masks from one of the behind the scenes photos as they were getting ready. The fan wrote:
"That’s the content we want to see more of, Esteban eyepad Ocon"
Others were championing the driver for taking his Mum to the event, another couple of fans commented:
"Amazing to do this with his mum"
"Well done Esteban, your mum is beautiful and must be proud!"
The Alpine driver has also shared to his Instagram Stories that he has now made his way from Cannes to Monaco for the Grand Prix this weekend. Ocon is currently sat in twelfth place in the drivers' standings with 6 points, with his teammate Pierre Gasly in tenth with 8 points.
The team has had a less than ideal start to the season which Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi has been very public about, keeping the pressure on the team. Following Rossi's comments, Ocon explained that his focus was solely on racing the car and delivering on track, he said:
“I’m focusing on my racing.
"My job is to deliver on track and get the maximum out of the car."
Alpine is currently in sixth position in the constructors' standings with the same 14 points as McLaren who are in fifth and ahead of Haas who have 8 points in seventh position.
