F1 News: Ferrari Chief Lays Out Upgrade Plan Despite Teams Shifting Focus To 2024

Ferrari team chief Fred Vasseur has confirmed that the Maranello-based squad will continue to develop the SF-23 despite other teams shifting their focus to the 2024 F1 cars.
The teams are gearing up for the Dutch Grand Prix this coming weekend which marks the end of the F1 summer break. Fans will see some upgrades to the Haas VF-23, but will have to wait longer for the Ferrari upgrades according to Vasseur.

During an interview with the media, Vasseur explained to RacingNews365.com:
"We have still some upgrades to come before the end of the season, but the project for the '24 car is a different project, and even if we have some carryover from one car to the other, the projects are completely different.
"We won't have big upgrades next weekend, because [Zandvoort and Monza are] two different tracks, and so they will come a bit later."
Ferrari has struggled to get off the mark so far this season. The team is currently running in fourth position in the constructors' standings with 191 points, however, they have managed to close the gap to Aston Martin in third position over the last few races to just 5 points.
Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are very close together in the drivers' standings. The Monegasque driver is in fifth with 99 points followed by Mercedes' George Russell in sixth on the same amount of points and then Sainz in seventh with 92 points.
As Vasseur has ruled out the Dutch and Italian Grands Prix races for the upgrades, we can expect to see them from the Singapore Grand Prix which is due to take place on 15 -17 September.
