F1 News: Former Team Manager On Max Verstappen's "Grumpy" Singapore GP Outburst

Former Ferrari F1 team manager and journalist Peter Windsor thought Max Verstappen was "pretty grumpy" after the Singapore qualifying that saw the Red Bull duo finish their run in Q2 at the Marina Bay Circuit on Saturday.
Red Bull's 2023 domination took a dent in qualifying when both their RB19s struggled to up the ante on the high downforce track. With Verstappen taking an eleventh in qualifying and Sergio Perez the thirteenth, the team has been facing a lot of heat this weekend.

Speaking of heat, both Perez and Verstappen were unhappy with the setup of their cars, as the latter spurted strong criticism of what he was experiencing. While Perez struggled with a tail-happy car, Verstappen termed his RB19 as 'undrivable,' before calling his drive in Q2 a "shocking experience." That was, however, just the beginning of the tantrums the race leader threw before complaining of the upshifts.
Windsor was particularly surprised by the 25-year-old driver's criticism of his car considering the fact, that this was the first time he faced serious problems with the car since the start of the season. As quoted by PlanetF1, he said:
“We didn’t see the whole lap but I heard the radio transmission from Max afterward which was pretty grumpy, really overly so I think, for a guy who’s got this year’s championship sewn up, who’s had a brilliant car underneath him all year.
"It was along the lines of did you see that, it was just impossible to drive.
"It was over the top really, I thought of that reaction. But not happy."
The journalist didn't even spare Perez for his "inexperienced" stunt that prevented him from going into Q3. He added:
“Sergio Perez just lost the whole thing at Turn One in a very inelegant spin, the type a rather inexperienced driver would have. It was obviously just no front end from his point of view at all.
"So neither of them made it through into Q3."
