The Williams F1 team and partner Gulf Oil have teased an announcement for Friday 26th May at 12 noon UK time.

Taking to social media, Gulf Oil International posted a video of a screen recording and the user clicking on a folder named '2023 A Bold New Beginning'.

"Save the date: Friday 26th May at 12:00 pm (BST)"

Leaving a lot to the imagination of fans, the predictions were obviously flying around in the comments, with the majority of fans guessing that it will be a Gulf livery for the Williams. One excited fan pointed out that:

"Last time we had a gulf themed livery the car made the podium"

Thankfully there is not long for fans to wait to see what the intriguing announcement is, with the reveal set for just before Free Practice one on Friday ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix weekend.

When the partnership between Gulf and the British racing team was revealed, fans were excited to see the team adopt a full Gulf Oil inspired livery at the unveiling event. However, the team went for the Williams blue livery instead.

If the announcement on Friday is a Gulf livery, it is likely going to only feature on the cars for just the one race.

Another fan jokingly responded to the announcement, predicting a whole episode of Netflix's Drive to Survive will be focussed on it. The commented:

"A bigger sticker on the front end & whole DTS episodes dedicated to this"
