In a remarkable turn of events, Guenther Steiner expressed sincere jubilation as Nico Hulkenberg secured a spot on the front row for the Canadian Grand Prix. The German driver beat everyone but Max Verstappen during the challenging conditions of Q3, but a red flag has put his result in jeopardy he now has a possible punishment for speeding under red glass conditions.

Speaking to Sky Sports post-qualifying, Steiner shared his nail-biting experience watching Hulkenberg's lap.

He said, "You know with the red light we passed the start finish line two seconds before the red came out and guess what I was doing up there. I mean waiting just that they put it out there at the red flag before we come to start finish line I would be quite upset about that."

The Italian team principal stressed that this fortunate timing was not a fluke but a result of their hard work. He stated:

"I was just looking, let’s gets over this that he got over it. You know how it is if you work hard and then you get the luck a little bit."

While the thrill of Hulkenberg's unexpected success is lingering, the American team understands that the actual race day might bring its own set of challenges. However, Steiner holds an optimistic view.

"It's not a strategy, we just need to get a decent race pace and then we can obviously when you start there you can keep people behind and some of the people will struggle to come forward as we saw in Barcelona it isn't easy anymore as it maybe was a few years ago."

For the upcoming Sunday race, Steiner keeps a realistic yet ambitious outlook. He mentioned:

"It's better to start from here but obviously we know after especially Barcelona for our race pace. It wasn't great to be soft on it but I think hopefully we can keep the car in the top 10 to get some points because that's always our objective, it's where we are."

This news stirs anticipation for the Canadian Grand Prix, with Hulkenberg's strong start placing Haas in an exciting position for Sunday's race.
