F1 News: How The Championship Stands Going Into The Dutch Grand Prix

The Formula One summer break will be coming to a close next week for the Dutch Grand Prix on August 25-27. As we head into the second half of the 2023 season, we are taking a look at the current drivers' and constructors' standings.

Drivers' Standings
Max Verstappen has an incredible lead on his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez of 125 points going into his home race. The pressure will be on Perez to keep his second-place spot in the standings. Both Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton have been putting in great performances this year and they are currently 40 and 41 points behind Perez, respectively.
Five to Seven in the standings is incredibly close between Charles Leclerc, George Russell, and Carlos Sainz, so fans might see some changes in those rankings.
Rookie Logan Sargeant and Daniel Ricciardo, who replaced Nyck de Vries ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, are yet to put points on the board and will likely need to do that in order to secure a permanent seat for 2024.

Constructors' Standings
Red Bull's ongoing dominance has given them an impressive 256 point lead on Mercedes in the constructors' standings.
The Brackley-based squad has managed to increase their lead from Aston Martin to 51 points and McLaren's significant improvements have seen them slowly start close the gap to Ferrari which is in fourth position with 191 points.
AlphaTauri are continuing to lag behind in tenth position, however, they will be pinning their hopes on Ricciardo to help turn the season around as much as possible for the team.
