High-profile sports icons have joined the list of investors on board the Alpine F1 team who will help spread global awareness for the Enstone outfit. The investors include NFL players, a Champions League and Premier League winner, a two-time world heavyweight boxing champion, a football World Cup winner, and a former world number one golfer.

As a part of its marketing strategies, Otro Capital announced that selected sports stars have joined the investment group to strengthen the entity's strategic partnership with the Alpine F1 team by spreading its popularity further into the sports ecosystem and helping it reach out to a "world of new fans."

The new A-list investors are expected to add to Otro Capital's existing contributions in areas like hospitality, commercial rights management, media, sponsorship, licensing, and merchandising.

The Sports Investors

Kansas City Chiefs NFL players and two-time Super Bowl champions Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are among the new sports investors. Speaking to the media on the beginning of a new partnership, Kelce told the media:

“I am thrilled to lead an investor group and join forces with Patrick and the team at Otro Capital on this exciting venture with Alpine F1.

"Our shared passion for excellence and innovation forms the cornerstone of this partnership.

"It’s about being able to contribute to a sport that demands precision, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of success. I am looking forward to this new chapter and can’t wait to see what we achieve together.”

Mahomes wasn't too far behind in expressing his enthusiasm. He stated:

“I’ve always had a passion for all sports. The opportunity to lead an investor group with Travis in Alpine F1 alongside Otro Capital was one I couldn’t pass up.

"It’s an exciting time for the sport and this is an opportunity to bring our shared values to the world stage. I’m looking forward to being a part of its growth.”

Apart from the Super Bowl champions, Champions League and Premier League winner Trent Alexander-Arnold is also named as an investor. The footballer has had an impressive first-hand experience witnessing how the Alpine team functions on the paddock. He added:

“I’m excited to be joining Otro Capital’s group as an investor into Alpine F1 along with my brother Tyler.

"Having been to Formula 1 races as a fan, I love the high-pressure environment of the paddock and I’ve seen first-hand how incredibly impressive the Alpine team is.

"Our shared goal as an investment group is to help contribute to its continued success on the grid, at a time when F1 is facing incredible growth as a sport.

"As a footballer, I understand the importance of teamwork, innovation and determination in achieving goals.”

A few other noted sports personalities whose names have been included in Alpine's investor list include current world golfing number two Rory McIlroy, two-time world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, and football World Cup winner Juan Mata.

"These are best in class investors, athletes, entertainers and entrepreneurs and they are all committed to elevating the Alpine F1 team.”
