Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll has some good news to share with his recovery update on social media platform X. He thanked his fans for the kind messages they sent and added that he was ready to race this weekend at the Japanese Grand Prix.

The Canadian driver crashed into the barrier at high speed during last weekend's Singapore GP qualifying, which to be honest, looked quite bad on camera. Though the medics gave him a clean chit to race the next day, the decision was taken that he would not race.

Teammate Fernando Alonso raced solo but, experienced a pretty bad run owing to his "undrivable" AMR23 leaving him crossing the line in fifteenth position.

The race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit was one of those that Aston Martin would prefer to forget about, while looking ahead to the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka this weekend. And from the looks of it, Stroll seems to be ready for it too.

Aston Martin Team Principal Mike Krack also confirmed that there is a zero chance of Stroll not being fit to drive at Suzuka. He told the media:

"He's generally sore. If you have an incident like that, you stress your muscles anyway. The analogy is like if you spend a very hard day in the gym, then also you feel not great, so this is where we're at.

"I think it's the right decision to be ready for Japan, because it's already in a couple of days' time. The important thing is that he is fine and everything else is secondary."

Just recently, Sky Sports commentator David Croft hinted that Stroll might not be entirely committed to his F1 career, considering his three-point gain in the last six race weekends. However, Krack added that the speed at which Stroll entered the corner was enough proof of how committed he really is. He said:

"To go into this corner at that speed, you have to have some commitment. This is proof that he fully has it. Lance is very strong.

"He's much stronger than you think. You saw him in the TV pen after this. So, I'm not concerned at all there will be anything. He will go in the car [at Suzuka] and he will be fast."
