F1 News: Lando Norris Causes Hilarious Mayhem In Max Verstappen's Charity Livestream

Sunday was quite a day when McLaren's F1 superstar, Lando Norris, unexpectedly joined Team Redline's charity sim event. This was a gathering organised by Max Verstappen to support the Emilia-Romagna region after the unfortunate cancellation of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix due to severe flooding.
The region is currently grappling with extreme weather conditions, leading to devastating floods and landslides. This terrible situation has sadly claimed over ten lives and placed a huge strain on emergency services which are doing their best to rescue those in danger. The heavy downpour and consequent flooding even trapped F1 personnel and fans in their hotels. Despite these dire circumstances, Yuki Tsunoda was spotted assisting with clearing debris from one of the flooded villages.
The reigning World Champion, Max Verstappen, brainstormed with his sim team to see how they could best assist those affected. The result was a sim racing event held Sunday afternoon to gather funds.
With the Grand Prix called off last weekend due to the weather, many teams and drivers like Ferrari and even F1 came forward to support the area. They generously donated €1 million each to assist those hit hardest by the natural calamity. In addition, several other streaming events took place over the weekend. Norris held a charity stream on Friday evening, and Williams organised a sim event on Saturday.
On Sunday, it was Team Redline's turn. They hosted an event with Verstappen's sim team reviving the "Real Racers Never Quit" series for a one-off special. This series had previously gained popularity online during the COVID-19 pandemic. The event attracted top racing drivers from around the world, like reigning F2 World Champion Felipe Drugovich, Alpine reserve driver Jack Doohan, and former Formula E Champion Antonio Felix da Costa.
While Norris had no initial plans to compete, he streamed himself watching the event. The tables turned when the event hosted a Formula Fords race. Norris set up a wheel and entered the competitive lobby, creating quite a stir. He jumped the start, securing an early (albeit illegal) lead and declaring, “MV1, eat my dust, baby!”
Verstappen later passed Norris, seemingly breaching track limits, which Norris called out: "Track limits! FIA!”
Team Redline has not yet revealed the amount raised during the event, but it was definitely an entertaining spectacle for the thousands of viewers.
