F1 News: Lando Norris Opens Up On Robbery Ahead Of Austrian Grand Prix

McLaren driver Lando Norris has addressed reports that he the victim of yet another robbery during the short break between the Canadian Grand Prix and Austrian Grand Prix this weekend.
F1 fans were quick to share the news to social media when influencer Jennie Dimova, who is a friend of the Belgian-British driver and part of the group of friends he was away with, shared a video to TikTok explaining what had happened. Dimova explained to her followers:
“If you are wondering why I look like that it is because our villa got robbed and everything I have ever owned – my clothes, my shoes, my bags, my jewellery – everything has been taken – and I am left with literally nothing.
“I cried for two hours but what can I do?”
Norris had not commented on the situation on social media, however, was quizzed on it during the media day ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix. The McLaren driver explained loosely what happened but said he was not able to say too much as the investigation is still ongoing at the moment. He commented:
“We were out for dinner and our place got robbed.
“A mixture of many things were stolen. Some were expensive and some were not so expensive.
“It is still an ongoing investigation so I cannot say too much.”
McLaren has brought significant upgrades to the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend for Norris' MCL60, including a new sidepod design. Norris is currently in eleventh position in the drivers' standings with his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri in fourteenth. McLaren is in sixth position in the constructors' standings with 17 points and is looking to significantly close the gap to Alpine who are in fifth position with 44 points.
