F1 News: Lewis Hamilton Joins The List Of Most Influential Fashion Personalities Of 2023

Lewis Hamilton has been selected into the Business of Fashion 500, as a part of its class of 2023 among 100 people. That means his name goes into the global fashion publication's list of influential people this year, which was launched in 2013 as the definitive index of people influencing the fashion industry.

Hamilton's membership in the class of 2023 will be celebrated at a festive event in Paris on Saturday, which would commend the Mercedes driver for being the bridge between the world of Formula 1 and fashion.

The 38-year-old racer has been known to appear in public with outfits that clearly stand out and make a bold statement. After all, music and fashion have been a part of his interests beyond the world of racing.

His ability to influence people makes the combination all the more better. Hamilton collaborated with designer brand Tommy Hilfiger during the New York Fashion Week in 2018, when he was their Brand Ambassador. Through the link, he was responsible for building a partnership between Mercedes and the designer brand.

"Hamilton has used the attention he receives to promote causes he believes in, pushing for greater diversity in F1 both on the track and behind the scenes, and taking the knee before every race in the 2020 Formula 1 season in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.”

Being the trendsetter that he is, people of different age groups and from different walks of life have been influenced by his fashion choices. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc was also impressed by Hamilton's connection with the fashion industry when he revealed in 2020 that he intends to follow the Mercedes driver's footsteps to foray into the fashion scene in the future.
