This weekend, Formula 1 enthusiasts are in for a treat as McLaren takes the covers off their newest design, the 'Triple Crown' livery for the Monaco Grand Prix. The design has already sparked considerable chatter among fans who have been quick to offer their take on this unique tribute to McLaren's rich motorsport history, but now some are noticing a huge error in the Manufacturer's reveal video, leaving them seething.

In a recent announcement, McLaren offered some insight into the captivating design, stating:

"The livery embraces and honours McLaren’s Triple Crown achievements in winning the three most prestigious races in motorsport: the 1974 Indy 500 with Johnny Rutherford, the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix with Alain Prost, and the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans with JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya."

McLaren's 'Triple Crown' livery marries past and present, blending vibrant elements from past victories into one harmonious design. Paying homage to the 1974 Indy 500 winning M16C/D, a striking papaya motif graces the rear of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri’s MCL60. This colourful rear meets a white centre, a tribute to Alain Prost’s 1984 Monaco Grand Prix winning MP4/2. Meanwhile, a black finish at the front nods to the F1 GTR that took victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on McLaren’s first attempt in 1995.

And that's where the issue begins: "Le Mans".

The reveal video spells it without the 'S' at the end of the word ("Le Man"), and it's safe to say that after spotting this error, some fans have gone mad over the mistake.

Here's the fallout on Twitter:

The misspelling obviously struck a chord with fans who are obviously disappointed with the misstep from the team. Let's hope McLaren can win them back with a good race this weekend.
