F1 News: Mercedes Unveils Major £70 Million Brackley Campus Redevelopment Plans

Mercedes has unveiled plans for a major refurbishment of its Formula 1 plant in Brackley, with an investment of approximately £70 million. The aim is to create a state-of-the-art campus that will be completed by the end of 2025, featuring a range of facilities to enhance the working environment.
According to Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff, the existing Brackley campus was originally designed for 350 people, but the team has since grown out of the space with now 1250 employees. The new campus will be built in a "Silicon Valley style", ensuring it goes beyond a mere workplace.
Wolff envisions it becoming a self-contained village, complete with all the amenities and advantages one would expect in a Silicon Valley-like setting. He explained to Motorsport.com:
"The Brackley campus was built to accommodate 350 people, and today we are at 1250.
"We want it to become its own little village, with all the amenities and benefits that you would expect from a Silicon Valley-style environment."
The team shared some details to social media along with CGIs of the plans. They posted:
"A glimpse into the future of our Brackley campus.
"Creation of a new Health & Wellbeing Centre.
"A gateway Marketing building enabling further expansion of the design office facilities.
"New buildings will be net zero in operation, powered by 100% renewable energy.
"Creating a vision for success in the years to come."
