Schumacher lost his seat with Haas at the end of the 2022 season after two seasons with the team. Unfortunately, he was not able to secure another permanent seat for the 2023 season. However, Mercedes confirmed ahead of the New Year that they had signed Schumacher as their reserve driver for 2023.
The German driver is keen to make a full-time return for 2024 and has indicated that he has already received some interest from a few teams, although no announcements have been made yet.
Another excited fan commented on the news:
"I'm really looking forward to seeing Mick in the W14. Thank you team"
