F1 News: Red Bull Fearful Of Ferrari Pace At Austrian GP - "Won't Be Great For Max"

Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko has predicted that the teams biggest rival at the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix will be Ferrari.
Despite Red Bull's Max Verstappen seizing the victory at the Canadian Grand Prix, Marko suspects Ferrari outperformed all with their superior speed. Although, neither of Ferrari's racers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, made it to the top three spots. Marko also acknowledges that the Red Bull Ring tends to suit the Ferrari's well.
Instead, alongside Verstappen in Montreal, was Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, who bagged second and third place, respectively. Meanwhile, Leclerc and Sainz managed to climb from their starting positions, 10th and 11th, to finish 4th and 5th ahead of Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez. Verstappen, Alonso, and Hamilton, on the other hand, held their starting places throughout the race.
Witnessing Ferrari's remarkable comeback, Marko predicts a strong performance from them in the Austrian GP, to be held between June 30 and July 2 at the Red Bull Ring. During an interview with Motorsport.com, the motorsport advisor explained:
“The Red Bull Ring suits Ferrari well. If Leclerc comes from the first or second row of the grid, it won't be a great race for Max."
Marko went on to reflect on the Canadian Grand Prix saying that "it wasn't an easy race". He continued:
"It wasn't an easy race. We had problems adjusting the temperature of the hard tyres. The race was more difficult than we thought. But, luckily, Ferrari started from the back, because they were faster with both tyre games"
So, the Maranello-based squad's superior speed, despite starting from further back on the grid, signals an interesting competition for the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix this weekend.
