F1 News: Red Bull Gives Update After Sergio Perez's Hungarian GP FP1 Crash

Red Bull has provided an update to fans after Sergio Perez's crash during the first free practice session ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Mexican driver lost control of his RB19 just a couple of minutes into the session. Both front and rear left tyres clipped the grass under braking leading him to lose control and collide with the race wall.
The Austrian team has brought significant upgrades to the RB19 this weekend so the damage caused needs to be repaired by the second free practice session so that the team is able to gather the necessary data for those upgrades. Luckily, Red Bull has now confirmed that Perez's car will be ready for the session. They posted to social media:
"Car 11 will be ready for FP2: we’ll be back on track at 16:00 BST, and weather report is showing more rain…"

The majority of the first free practice session was rain-soaked, leaving seven drivers without recording any times and all of the teams struggling to do the runs they had planned. As per Red Bull's post, more rain is forecast for this afternoon's session so it will be interesting to see if the grid is able to prepare for the grand prix as they would like.
As well as the highly-discussed pressure on Perez which the crash does not help, the damage caused to the car also raises alarm bells in terms of the cost cap as it was reported that his RB19 sustained damage to the front wing, suspension, and floor.
The Mexican driver has been under pressure after failing to get through to Q3 of qualifying for the last five races. Adding to the rumours surrounding his future with the team is Daniel Ricciardo's return to AlphaTauri, replacing Nyck de Vries immediately. Many are of the belief that the Australian driver has been brought back partly to gear him up as a replacement for Perez should he not show improvement.
