Red Bull is reportedly taking new Honda power units for both their drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, this weekend for the Spanish Grand Prix. And while they've had a few reliability issues in the former's car during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix seeing him start from P15, they've had no real issues with the power unit so far.

This replacement covers a host of parts, including the internal combustion engine, the turbochargers, MGU-H, and MGU-K. This isn't a surprise with Spain being a track where their cars can really stretch their legs, and with three power unit replacements left to them for the season, they're taking no penalty.

In fact, they'll gain an advantage with these brand new and shining power units boasting a few more horsepower than the outgoing parts. This will allow Max and Checo to truly explore the potential of the RB19, which has so far dominated the 2023 season with 6 wins in just 6 races.

McLaren's Lando Norris will also be taking a new power unit while his teammate Oscar Piastri takes a new exhaust. Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso will be taking a new Energy Store and Control Electronics, and Logan Sargeant will be following in his footsteps, doing exactly the same thing. Nico Hulkenberg will be taking new Control Electronics.

Of this selection, only Alonso, Sargeant, and Hulkenberg are dipping into the parts pile for the first time. Norris is on his third of four power units, while Piastri is on his fourth of eight exhausts.
