F1 News: WATCH Carlos Sainz Out Of Monaco FP2 After Crash

Carlos Sainz has crashed during Free Practice Two ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix.

With just over fifteen minutes to go of the second free practice session, Carlos Sainz caused a red flag on the session after clipping the front right wheel on the barrier meant that he crashed into the barriers in the next turn.

The Spanish driver had started off by having a good weekend, topping the time sheets during Free Practice One and sitting in the third fastest position during Free Practice Two before he crashed.

The Maranello-based squad will now be assessing the damage to Sainz's car and trying their best to get it fixed before the third practice session tomorrow followed by qualifying tomorrow afternoon.

Thankfully Sainz quickly assured the team that he was okay and was able to get out of the car shortly after to walk back to the pits.

The session has got under way again with Sainz's Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc currently with the second-fastest time on the board behind Max Verstappen.

Lando Norris has also been experiencing problems with his MCL60. He was late to start the session with the McLaren team still working on the car and we have heard since the session got back going that the Belgian-British driver was still having issues with the car.

Fans will be waiting to hear from Ferrari and McLaren with more details on the issues with both Norris and Sainz's cars ahead of tomorrow.
