F1 News: Williams Chief Branded "Revolutionary" In New Role - "Ferrari Needs To Learn"

Williams team principal James Vowles has shared a full and in-depth analysis on where the team is at and provides an explanation for their seemingly lacking floor design.
Fans were shocked by the smooth underside of Logan Sargeant's FW45 after it was lifted into the air during the Spanish Grand Prix weekend. Red Bull and Mercedes had similar situations in Monaco the weekend before so fans were quick to draw comparisons between them.
The photos of the Red Bull RB19, which has won every race of the 2023 season so far, show an incredibly detailed design, whereas the Williams FW45 looked to have an almost completely smooth design.
Vowles took to the teams social media to share an explanation for the differences, which has gone down well with fans.

One fan praised Vowles' for his "revolutionary" approach to his new role. They commented:
"Fantastic to see James answer further fan questions. Be nice if the interview could be made a bit longer as I can only imagine that there are so many questions to be answered. What James is doing really is quite revolutionary for F1 to see a team head respond to fans concerns."

Another fan commented touching on how open and honest the team are being about their difficulties. They wrote:
"He's so open and honest about everything, the kind of stuff Ferrari needs to learn. All that said, I too agree that the William's underfloors over-simplicity comes from the camera angle. You could sort of look at the detailings on the leading part of the floor."

Someone else commented:
"This is so awesome that James is doing this. Imagine being the head at the worst team on the grid, and STILL coming out after every race and addressing the elephant in the room that is the lack of performance. Gaining so much respect for this guy. Really hope he sticks around"
