More details have been released on the highly-anticipated F1 movie which will be produced by seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton and will star Brad Pitt.

A release date for the film which is being directed by Joseph Kasinski, who was behind Top Gun: Maverick, has not been announced yet however it is expected to be hitting movie theatres in late 2024 or early 2025.

Brad Pitt To Drive Formula 2 Car

We found out earlier in the week that Brad Pitt will be driving a modified Formula 2 car during the British Grand Prix weekend which has been developed by Mercedes

Putting rumours to rest, it has been confirmed that the actor will take the car out on an empty track for obvious safety reasons. Pitt has been seen practicing on the Paul Ricard track in France, with spy footage being released to social media.

As well as the filmed footage of Pitt and any other actors, there will be some footage from the 2023 F1 season within the movie.

Team Name Revealed

After some confusion over whether this was the name of the film or the team, it has now been confirmed that the team which Pitt will be driving for in the film will be called "Apex".

Actor In Lewis Hamilton's Role Confirmed

It has been confirmed that British actor Damson Idris will be playing the part which is based on Lewis Hamilton. The 31-year-old has featured in my tv series, films, and theatre performances, including Black Mirror, Casualty, and currently Snowfall.

We are sure more details of the film will be released in the months leading up to its release so we will keep you up to date with any further developments.
