'Max Verstappen's Red Bull Was Detuned For Bahrain Grand' Says F1 Pundit

In a spectacular performance at the F1's season opener in Bahrain, Red Bull Racing showcased their impressive capabilities by dominating the front row and taking the top two spots on the podium for the very first time at this track. It was a fantastic result for the team and a clear signal to their competitors that they are a force to be reckoned with in this year's championship.
Max Verstappen Takes Charge
Despite a shaky start during the practice sessions, Max Verstappen, the 25-year-old driver, showed his true skill by qualifying in pole position. Even though he experienced some issues with his car during the race, he maintained his lead throughout and proved to be unstoppable. Commentators were left in awe at the ease with which he cruised to victory.
Mercedes Struggles to Keep Up
The performance of Mercedes, the seven-time constructor-winning team, was a far cry from what we've come to expect from them. Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were no match for Red Bull Racing, trailing by six-tenths of a second in qualifying and a massive one-second a lap in the race. Hamilton finished a distant fifth, some 50 seconds behind Verstappen.
Brundle Expresses Concerns
While Red Bull Racing's performance was undoubtedly impressive, some have expressed concerns about the potential for a dull season. Martin Brundle, the Sky Sports commentator and pundit, fears that Red Bull's dominance may make the season less exciting for fans.
"But whichever way you cut it Verstappen was cruising out front and it's not difficult to believe he could easily have been 10 seconds further up the road if required. Maybe much more," Brundle wote in his
Sky Sports
column.
"I'm sure they had the motor turned right down too to save that high power mode energy for another day, and he could have won the race at will, whatever they did strategy wise."
Could Red Bull Win Every Race?
Following the race, George Russell commented that he believes Red Bull Racing could win all 23 races this season. Brundle comments on this:
"George said after the race that he believes Red Bull will win all 23 races, and while that might have been an emotional and disappointed reaction, you couldn't rule it out on the evidence we've seen so far", Brundle said.
It's early days, but Red Bull has a serious car on their hands. Matched with a couple of serious drivers, they could be unmatched.
