Mercedes F1 News: Lewis Hamilton Hopes For South African Grand Prix Return - "Huge, Huge Dream For Me"

Seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton is eager to see the return of the South African Grand Prix.
With talks of increasing the number of races on the F1 calendar to 25 next year, and potentially thirty in the future, there is a lot of talk over which races we could see introduced or returned.
Hamilton is keen to have the South African Grand Prix come back to the calendar, which has already been outlined as a possibility for next year. During an interview with ESPN, the British driver explained:
"Hopefully you’ll see that come to life soon as well.
"That’s a real big dream for me, to have raced in Africa during my career is a huge huge dream for me.
"I know we have a big following out there, well I have a big following out there, and I know a lot of people are into Formula 1 now there so that would be amazing."
The South African Grand Prix made its F1 debut in 1934 in East London before moving to the Kyalami in 1967 where it stayed on the calendar until 1985. The event made a brief return between 1992 and 1993.
The track will have to undergo necessary upgrades in order to bring it back up to the high standards for an F1 race.
It is yet to be confirmed what the race calendar will be next year, but many are hoping to see the return of the South African Grand Prix to bring the sport to another continent.
