Mercedes has just unveiled the all-new GLC Coupé AMG, a testament to the brand's commitment to innovating automotive engineering. Drawing inspiration from the racetracks of Formula and its Lewis Hamilton-led team, this hybrid coupé is not just a symbol of luxury and elegance but a beacon of cutting-edge technology.

Key Highlights:

  • The GLC Coupé is Mercedes-AMG's pioneering performance hybrid SUV coupé, powered by an electrified AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, featuring an electric exhaust gas turbocharger—a technology directly influenced by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team's achievements.
  • Beyond its striking exterior, the vehicle's internals are a testament to AMG's dedication to performance and luxury, ensuring a driving experience that's both thrilling and opulent.
  • Michael Schiebe, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, underscores the GLC Coupé's allure for those who crave a harmonious blend of sporty aesthetics, innovative design, and unmatched performance.

At the heart of the GLC Coupe is the AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, enhanced with an electric turbocharger—a groundbreaking technology born from the world of Formula 1. This powerhouse delivers a staggering 500 kW (680 hp) and a peak torque of 1,020 Nm, propelling the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. That's warp speed for an SUV.

Complementing this is a 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor on the rear axle, optimising traction and power distribution between the front and rear, ensuring a driving experience that's both dynamic and efficient.

The GLC Coupé also features the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission, AMG Ride Control suspension with adaptive damping adjustment, and three-stage AMG speed-sensitive steering—all fine-tuned to deliver unparalleled driving dynamics.

For those seeking personalisation, Mercedes-AMG offers a range of equipment packages, from the AMG Exterior Night package to the AMG Exterior Carbon Package. The Edition 1, available at launch, promises exclusivity with its unique colour options and interior detailing.

At first glance, its sporty silhouette captures the essence of speed and dynamism, a testament to AMG's racing roots. The low-slung SUV style, which has become a signature of many luxury manufacturers, is executed with a German finesse.

The front fascia is dominated by the AMG-specific radiator trim, which gives the vehicle a commanding presence on the road. Flanking this are the meticulously designed headlights that accentuate the vehicle's width, giving it a stance that's both aggressive and poised.

The exterior design, while bold in its elements, maintains an air of subtlety, ensuring that the car doesn't scream for attention, mirroring its rather small but powerful engine. Understated, yet undeniably potent.
