The Mercedes F1 team unveiled the highly-anticipated W14 during the launch event in Silverstone yesterday morning, and it has since been reported that it was the most viewed reveal event so far.

The Brackley-based squad had been teasing fans in the lead-up to the event, ramping up excitement and anticipation over the reveal. Fans had been calling for the team to return to an all-black livery, which the team delivered. The teams social media had been hinting at an all-silver livery, all-black livery, and even a Petronas turquoise livery.

Posting to Twitter, Mercedes.F1Motorsports, shared:

"Today’s W14 livery reveal was the most viewed stream so far among all the teams"

They went on to confirm that they used data from the F1 stream plus directly from Mercedes. They added:

"Just the teams own channel Checked with the f1 stream + the teams, merc is still the most watched" [sic]

The W14 launch was the penultimate reveal event ahead of the upcoming 2023 season. Alpine are the last team to reveal their 2023 contender with an event this evening in London at 8pm GMT. So, the data does not include Alpine.

The YouTube stream of the Mercedes live event has been viewed 1.1 million times so far.

Fans will be able to see all of the 2023 cars on track next week at the pre-season testing in Bahrain from 23-25 February. After that fans only have to wait another week for the season opening race weekend, also in Bahrain, from 3-5 March.

The season will consist of a record-breaking 23 races including the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix as the penultimate race in November.
