Miami F1 News: Weather Report As Thundery Showers Expected For Grand Prix Weekend

The Miami Grand Prix weekend will be kicking off with free practice one and two on Friday 5th May and it is looking like hot temperatures are not the only thing the drivers are going to have to deal with.
Here is a run-down of the current forecast, at the time of writing.
Friday 5th May
Friday will see the drivers on track for the first two free practice sessions ahead of the grand prix. There isn't any expected rain for Friday, however, they will be battling with high temperatures of 32 degrees celsius so tyre degradation will be a big consideration for the teams.
Saturday 6th May
The high temperatures will be continuing throughout the whole F1 weekend. However Saturday will see light rain showers, with the most rain predicted for around the time of the qualifying session.
Sunday 7th May
Things seem to get worse for the Grand Prix on Sunday as there are thundery showers forecast along with the high heats of 32 degrees celsius. It is hard to predict how the wet will truly affect the drivers as the track has been resurfaced.
This has raised alarm bells with fans after the reports of the track suffering from severe flooding during the weeks leading up to the event. Other fans are pointing out the fake water which featured at the track last year, which has thankfully been replaced by real water.

"So the race may get called off then, because teams don't want to use full wet tyres like we saw in Japan last year."
