Sergio Perez has reflected on starting in third place on the grid for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Sunday.

After a chaotic day in Baku, Perez was disappointed to not be starting higher up on the grid. However, he claimed that the Red Bull team had already identified Ferrari as their biggest threat for the weekend.

During his post-qualifying interview with Mark Webber, the Mexican driver reflected:

"It was really tricky in Q1 with the amount of red flags out there. You don't want to waste any more sets [tyres] in Q1. So that was difficult to warm up.

"And just to get through without making mistakes without much practice, it was really challenging. I think the team has done a great job. I'm a bit disappointed to be starting in P3 because I definitely felt there was more in it. My lap wasn't that clean.

"We knew they [Ferrari] were going to be fast and they're very efficient. We knew before coming here that the Ferrari was going to be the biggest threat to us."

The on-track action continues tomorrow with the first sprint shootout in the morning followed by the sprint race in the afternoon. However, nothing from tomorrow will affect the grid line-up for Sunday, but it does give the drivers another opportunity to pick up more points towards the championship.

It has been a hectic day on track and it is anticipated that tomorrow will have a similar amount of action.
