The Spanish Grand Prix kicks off today with the first two free practice sessions.

Red Bull is bringing upgrades to the weekend which they have said are in a slightly different approach, which will be interesting to see play out. On top of that, the Mercedes upgrades that were brought to Monaco should be more effective around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Max Verstappen is going into the weekend as the drivers' championship leader with his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez 39 points behind him.

The Spanish Grand Prix is the home race for Fernando Alonso, who is hoping to win his 33rd race this season, and Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz.
