Nyck de Vries, the Dutch Formula 1 driver who entered an AlphaTauri seat at the start of the season, is stuck in a bit of a rut. Eight races into the season and he's still waiting for his first point. And while his machinery isn't anywhere near the best of the current grid, Red Bull's Helmut Marko is already running out of interest.

During today's Sky Sports F1 coverage of today's FP1, pundit Simon Lazenby revealed that Marko has given de Vries four more races, and if he doesn't see a significant improvement in performance, he will be out.

This change will come after the Summer break, with another driver taking the Dutch driver's place. Until then, we have a strong month of races with Austria, Britain, Hungary and Belgium on the list. These will give the Red Bull team a good idea of whether de Vries is showing improvement.

It's likely that Daniel Ricciardo could take up the place at AlphaTauri, but Liam Lawson could also be in contention for the seat with him currently showing a huge level of performance in the Japanese Super Formula.
