'Six Rotations': The Nebraska Cornhuskers Lead the Charge into Spooky Season

Every week until a champion is crowned, the YouTube show "Six Rotations" will be available here, with a brief rundown of the episode and the top upcoming matches around the country.
The Last of the Undefeated
No. 1 Nebraska continues to dazzle, as the Huskers are now the lone unbeaten team in the nation following three-set wins over Indiana and Wisconsin this past week.
Saturday marked another historical day in this historical year for women's college volleyball, as the Wisconsin at Nebraska match aired on FOX, paired with Nebraska football (in a tight 20-17 loss against Indiana, the defending champions). It marked the first time FOX broadcast a football-volleyball doubleheader from the same campus, as the Husker stars Andi Jackson, Harper Murray, and Bergen Reilly joined the football pregame show "Big Noon Kickoff" in the morning and then shined at night vs. Wisconsin.
Here are a few Husker tidbits that blew me away: Nebraska has won 147 straight sets when reaching 20 points first. Dani Busboom Kelly still hasn't lost a regular-season match in her two seasons as the head coach in Lincoln.
The other headline matchup of the second week of October featured a pair of top-five matches in the ACC, with SMU taking down Pitt midweek on the road in a four-set thriller (the third set went to 38-36 in favor of the Mustangs). This snapped Pitt’s 58-match home win streak. Then, Pitt returned the favor on Sunday on ABC on the road in three sets. SMU led 24-20 in the third but Babcock & Co. surged for the sweep. This led the coaches to keep Pitt at No. 2 and SMU rose to No. 5.
Now for the scene-stealers this past week, as the Oklahoma Sooners upset Texas A&M midweek, then stunned Texas with a sweep on Sunday. Also in the SEC, Vanderbilt picked up the biggest win in their young program's history with a four-set stunner at home against then-No. 5 Florida on Sunday. Don't look now, but Vandy is Top Ten in RPI.
In the Big Ten's ranked-vs.-ranked matches, Oregon took down Michigan State in four, Penn State swept Washington, and unranked USC swept Indiana in a monumental upset. Purdue escaped Illinois in five late on Sunday.
Lastly in the Big 12, Arizona State had a statement week with wins over Colorado and TCU (in three on Sunday). Those early season unranked losses for the Sun Devils are looking like a thing of the past now.
An upset-filled Sunday made an impact on the new AVCA-Taraflex Division I Women’s Poll, including in the No. 16-25 spots.
