League One Volleyball Minnesota Announces Inaugural Roster

The roster showcases several Minnesota natives, college stars, Olympians, and international standouts.

In preparation to debut in January 2027, League One Volleyball (LOVB) Minnesota has officially announced its roster. 

The lineup showcases several Minnesota natives, former standouts from the University of Minnesota, Olympians, All-Americans and several international players spanning from the United States, France, Cuba and Poland.

"We've always said Minnesota is where volleyball belongs, and this roster is proof of that," April Ehrman, LOVB Pro League Advisor, said in a press release. "We're bringing home incredible athletes who have helped shape volleyball in this state while welcoming exceptional players from across the United States and around the world. Together, they'll help establish the culture, competitiveness and connection we want LOVB Minnesota to be known for from day one."

The five Minnesota natives include Tori Dixon, Jenny Mosser, Julia Hanson, Sarah Parsons and Sydney Hilley, while Dixon, Hanson, Parsons, Lexi Hart, and Kylie Murr were standouts for the Minnesota Gophers.

Meet Head Coach César Hernández González

As the current head coach of the French National Team, who led the squad to a 2025 FIVB World Championship, Hernández González brings years of experience to Minnesota. His resume includes serving as head coach for South Korea in 2022 and 2023, working with the Spanish National Team for 12 years, and leading several top clubs.

Why LOVB Chose Minnesota

When LOVB announced in November 2025 that professional volleyball was making its way to the Twin Cities, the community couldn’t get enough of it. 

At the youth level, the state of Minnesota ranks No. 4 nationally in girls’ high school volleyball participation, and the state’s high school championships consistently see sold-out crowds. 

At the collegiate level, the University of Minnesota has been a powerhouse for decades. With six NCAA Final Four appearances since 2003, the Gophers consistently rank within the top five nationally in home attendance. The University of St. Thomas became the first program to move up from Division III to Division I, while Concordia University, Bethel and Gustavus Adolphus

The inaugural LOVB Minnesota season is set to have home games hosted at Maturi Pavilion at the University of Minnesota, solidifying a deeper integration in the state. 

LOVB Minnesota will join three other expansion teams, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco. These teams join the already built teams (Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Madison, Nebraska and Salt Lake), in an effort for the league to introduce an Eastern and Western Conference format.
