Caitlin Clark Photo From Maya Moore Jersey Retirement Speaks Volumes

The old saying says a picture is worth a thousand words. That certainly applies to a recent image of Caitlin Clark watching Maya Moore's jersey retirement ceremony.
Photographer Bri Lewerke captured a moment in time that saw Clark watching her childhood hero being honored by the Minnesota Lynx, while a group of young kids could be seen behind her in their Indiana Fever 22 jerseys.

The picture immediately struck a positive chord with fans, especially considering it tied in to what CC had dubbed a full circle experience.
One X user posted, "It's wild how things have come full circle. God, what a striking photo." A sentiment that was seemingly universally shared.

Part of the reason the image resonated so strongly was that as many are aware, Clark has reflected fondly about meeting Moore as a young girl. Something Moore was asked about during a press conference, to which she said, "It’s really, really cool to think about how one of those kids turned out to be Caitlin Clark.”
Maya Moore doesn’t specifically remember when she hugged Caitlin Clark all those years ago — she made time for a lot of young fans during her career.

Clark has recounted the experience by stating, "That was one of the most pivotal moments of my basketball career...that meant the world to me." Of course Caitlin is also on record calling Moore, "the person for me growing up."
One has to believe Clark is exactly that for some of the children in the aforementioned photo who were wearing her jersey. All as she was admiring her inspiration as a child, complete with a Maya Moore shirt of her own.
