Caitlin Clark Revealed Message About Respect She Received From Referee on Technical Foul

Caitlin Clark made sure to thank the referees for giving her a particular technical foul. The Indiana Fever star received a T during the team's win over the Seattle Storm and explained the reasoning the refs gave for making the call after the contest.
I just witnessed one of the worst technical fouls ever called on Caitlin Clark just now.

Misses shot on one end, comes back on defense, ball goes out of play, slaps stanchion in frustration, gets called for a tech.
Insane. pic.twitter.com/aTyZPhNyOl
Clark said this this about the technical foul called against her during the third quarter of action. "I got a technical for basically being mad at myself because I missed a three and went and hit the backboard and he told me it was disrespectful to the game of basketball...I think he fired me up to continue to play a lot harder. I thought we got a lot better after he did that."
CC on her tech: “[The ref] told me it was disrespectful to the game of basketball… reminded me of the technical I got in college where I said dammit, where it’s like a personal frustration…. but I think he fired me up to continue to play a lot harder… so I want to thank him.” pic.twitter.com/gkDMoXcI0X

Clark and the Fever certainly dominated as the game went on, en route to a second consecutive win against a winning opponent out of the Olympics break.
Caitlin's comments revealed her competitive nature as she, like many of the greats, seems to take any slight as a motivation to do even better. This bit being added to the infamous comments she apparently made to Fever coach Christie Sides about a monster being woken up following her snub from the Team USA Olympics roster.
Clark has come back from the time off looking mighty monstrous, including the 23 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists she put up against Seattle. A game that also saw her break the WNBA record for rookie assists in a season, passing Ticha Penicheiro with her passes.
Perhaps future opponents should tell the officials not to give Caitlin any extra motivation, because Clark and the Fever appear to be dangerous enough without any additional assistance from the referees.
