Jaylen Brown's Comments to Angel Reese Led to Bronny James Speculation

Angel Reese, Kysre Gondrezick, and Jaylen Brown were the talk of NBA Summer League. The trio took in the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics to much attention. This coming on the heels of the Celtics star notably appearing with Gondrezick at the ESPYs. Reese and Gondrezick were of course WNBA teammates before the latter was waived by the Chicago Sky.

It wasn't just their presence that drew attention however. Something Brown mouthed had every internet lip-reader activated. Cameras caught Jaylen talking to Angel and Kyrse and fans speculated that he said, "I don't think Bronny is a pro." This coming during a game where the younger James once again struggled to score. Bronny is now 0-15 from three in Summer League action.

The online sleuths attempted to fill in the rest of the conversation but obviously none of the words can be confirmed. The clip will surely go viral because it very much appears Brown may have uttered what many are assuming. Though it will also obviously be blown up because of all the focus that has been on Bronny, given his father LeBron James also plays for the Lakers.
Reese and the Sky are in Las Vegas to take on the Aces, so it was a natural contest for Angel to attend. She will look to bounce back after her double-double streak was snapped by the New York Liberty. However, it won't get any easier against A'ja Wilson and company.
Meanwhile, Brown has since addressed the speculation from fans responding to an account on X by posting a supportive message toward LeBron and Bronny James saying he looks forward to watching Bronny's growth.
It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the nba it reflects greatness and longevity !Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful I look forward to watching his growth https://t.co/qO4muFSvrn
