National Analyst Praises the Fanbase of Tennessee Vols

The Tennessee Volunteers have one of the best fanbases in college football, and one national analyst pointed this out earlier this week.

The Tennessee Volunteers have one of the best fanbases in college football, and one national analyst pointed this out earlier this week.

One of Tennessee's biggest advantages across all of its sports is its fanbase. Knoxville, Tennessee, creates atmospheres that recruits notice and opposing players are intimidated to play in. On3's J.D. PicKell took to his show "The Hard Count" earlier this week to discuss the advantages that Tennessee's fanbase presents.

"Tennessee, man, they are as passionate as any other fan base. And that sounds like a pretty cliché statement to make, but if you don't believe me, they beat Alabama, took down the goal posts. Most places will take down the goal posts if it's a big win if it's an intense fan base -- especially an SEC school. Tennessee then proceeded to take those goal posts out of the stadium and throw them into a river. Do you know how outside of your mind you have to be to storm the field, take a goal post, and then put it in a body of water? Tennessee is second to none. The Vol Navy is second to none.
