Mark first became interested in F1 when he was nine years old, watching his first race on the ABC network, where Emerson Fittipaldi and Sir Jackie Stewart battled for race wins. He later attended the Formula 1 Long Beach Grand Prix with friends and, in its final season before it became an IndyCar venue, with his father. Mark has written about motorsports for the last 24 years as a race reporter and news writer for outlets such as Motorsport.com and Autoweek.
