The Oklahoma State Cowboys have had an interesting start to their season. Despite battling different injuries, the Cowboys are 2-3 and, realistically, should be 4-1. They traveled to New York to play in the Legends Classic, where they lost both of their games by just two points.

Either way, the Cowboys are coming off a big 96-68 win against New Orleans. They played a tight game for a good portion of the game, but when they built separation in the second half, they put together a huge game.

Still, the Cowboys are dealing with lineups that maybe they weren't expecting to play. Bryce Thompson is a senior and one of the team's better players, though he suffered an injury in New York. He's missed two games since then.

“We don’t feel like, from the MRI, there’s any kind of long-term ligament damage," Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton said after the team's win on Monday.

Boynton said there is no timetable for Thompson's return, and they won't rush him to return. Still, there's a chance he can return to the court Friday when the Cowboys take on Houston Christian.

Another player who has dealt with injury is Isaiah Miranda. The NC State transfer has yet to make his debut at Oklahoma State. He was set to do that on Monday after dealing with a hip injury, but he landed on someone's foot during pre-game.

The 7-footer will have to wait to make his debut, but assuming the injury is nothing severe, Friday poses a good opportunity for him to immerse himself into the lineup.

Jamyron Keller, though, was able to return from injury and make his debut with the Cowboys on Monday. He returned from a wrist injury and added 18 points off the bench on 7-of-10 shooting and knocking down four of his seven 3-pointers attempted.

When this team is healthy, they can be dangerous, especially if they're able to find offensive contributions from more and more players.
