All Pokes Staff Score Predictions: Oklahoma State vs. Texas A&M

How does the All Pokes staff think the Texas Bowl will go on Wednesday?

After a 9-4 season, including a loss in the Big 12 title game, the Oklahoma State Cowboys landed a matchup against the Texas A&M Aggies in the Texas Bowl to cap off their season. This comes with an opportunity to finish a rollercoaster of a season off strong, surpassing the 10-win mark.

Here's how the All Pokes staff predicted the Texas Bowl to go.

Texas A&M is no slouch. The Aggies come in No. 17 in the country in rushing defense, giving up only 3.27 yards per rush. They are also No. 9 in the country in total defense, giving up only 295 yards per contest this season.

Oklahoma State has to get balanced on offense, and Bowman has to get comfortable in this game. We all know what Ollie Gordon is going to do, but it's the other skill players that will have to step up for the Cowboys. With how the rushing attack has been all season, give me OSU in this one.

The Cowboys will take care of business against the Aggies in a 2019 Texas Bowl rematch. Ollie Gordon will have one last signature performance to cap off his Doak Walker Award campaign.

OSU's defense will also step up and force some turnovers to set up easy scores. OSU gets to 10 wins and builds momentum heading into the 2024 season.

With the Cowboys returning plenty of their roster for the bowl game, it's hard to imagine they don't look similar to the team that went 9-4 and made a conference championship game. The Aggies, on the other hand, haven't had the most favorable transfer portal run.

With Ollie Gordon returning and Alan Bowman likely playing his last college football game, it's hard to imagine the Cowboys' offense doesn't do its part.
