OSU Softball Duo Named to Softball America Preseason Top 100

Add another honor for Lexi Kilfoyl and Caroline as they were named to another preseason top 100 on Monday.

The preseason honors keep coming in for Lexi Kilfoyl and Caroline Wang.

Softball America released its preseason top 100 on Monday, and Kilfoyl and Wang found themselves in the honor listed on the list.

Kilfoyl comes in at No. 27 after she was voted to the Preseason Big 12 Team last week. Wang, who was a two-time ASUN Player of the Year at Liberty, comes in as one of the top 60 players in the country.

Kilfoyl will be the top arm this season for Oklahoma State after veteran pitcher Kelly Maxwell transferred to Oklahoma this offseason.

The senior won't be the only option for the Cowgirls as sophomore pitcher Kyra Aycock returns to the pitching staff for the 2024 season.

Aycock was a reliable arm last season, posting a 2.51 ERA with 65 strikeouts in 95 innings pitched.

Wang is replacing catcher Taylor Tuck, who graduated after the 2023 season.

The senior put up solid numbers in her three years with Liberty, especially the 2023 season.

Wang batted .318 on the season with 15 homers and 51 RBIs, propelling her to the top spot in all three of those categories in the ASUN Conference.

Kilfoyl and Wang will lead the Cowgirls this season, which begins on Feb. 8 when OSU takes on Cal State-Northridge at Northridge, California.
