Day four at the 2024 ACC Swimming & Diving Championships saw the UVA women strengthen their grip on a fifth-straight ACC Championship with two individual golds and another relay title, while Noah Nichols earned the first gold of the meet for the Virginia men.

UVA went 1-3 in the women's 200-yard butterfly, with Alex Walsh setting an NCAA record in the event with her time of 1:49.16 to claim the title. Abby Harter took third place with a time of 1:54.81.

The 100-yard backstroke saw a team other than Virginia win a women's swimming event for the first time this week, as NC State's Katharine Berkoff and Helen Noble took first and second and UVA's Reilly Tiltmann placed third in 51.82.

Things returned to normal in the 100-yard breaststroke, as Virginia's Jasmine Nocentini set a pool record with a time of 57.01 to win the gold and teammate Emma Weber took third in 58.81.

Virginia capped the night of women's events by winning the ACC title in the 400-yard medley relay for the fourth-consecutive year. UVA's team of Gretchen Walsh, Jasmine Nocentini, Alex Walsh, and Maxine Parker combined to win the event in 3:22.49. Gretchen Walsh continued her historic week in her only swim of the night, turning in a 100 back leadoff time of 48.10, the fastest time in women's swimming history in that leg, to break another American record.

Virginia earned its first gold on the men's side thanks to Noah Nichols, who repeated as the ACC Champion in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 50.89. UVA tallied another podium finish in the 100 back, with Matt Brownstead taking second in 45.26.
