Virginia Baseball Predicted to Win ACC Coastal Title in Preseason Coaches Poll
For the first time since 2015, Virginia was predicted to win the ACC Coastal Division in the preseason coaches poll for the 2024 college baseball season. The Cavaliers, who won the ACC Coastal title in 2023, received seven first-place votes and 88 total points to edge past second-place North Carolina, who received six first-place votes and 86 points.
Wake Forest was chosen as the winner of the Atlantic Division as well as the overall champion of the Atlantic Coast Conference in the 2024 ACC Baseball Preseason Coaches Poll. Virginia received one vote as the overall ACC Champion in the preseason poll.
Virginia went 19-11 in ACC play last season and captured its first ACC Coastal title since 2011. The Cavaliers won 50 games and advanced to the College World Series for the sixth time in program history and second time in the last three years. The conference's coaches have picked UVA to finish either first or second in the ACC Coastal in 10 of the last 11 seasons.

The 2024 Virginia baseball season will open on Friday, February 16th, when the Cavaliers host Hofstra for the first of a three-game series at Disharoon Park.
